Performance, made clear.

Navytech Insight presents trusted indicators and trends that show how each vessel behaves in real conditions.

Clarity in Every Data Point.

Daily and Rolling Analytics — from Fleet‑Wide to Day‑by‑Day

Navytech Insight computes ideal calm‑water performance versus environment‑adjusted actuals, then visualises KPIs with thresholds, trends and event impacts so teams can act quickly and consistently.

Key Platform Features

Navytech Insight distils complex logs and telemetry into a clear operational picture for bridge and shore teams, so the next best action is always obvious. With consistent, validated analytics and a UI built for rapid scanning, the platform shortens the distance from signal to decision and slots cleanly into existing reporting workflows.

Key Performance Indicators

- The Indicators That Reveal True Vessel Performance

Navytech Insight translates vessel behaviour into clear, decision‑ready indicators. These metrics reveal changes in resistance, efficiency and consumption that were previously hidden—helping teams intervene earlier, operate more consistently and understand the true drivers of performance across the fleet.

Propulsion Efficiency Ratio

This indicator compares a vessel’s ideal propulsion efficiency with its efficiency under real‑world, environmentally compensated conditions. It shows how effectively power is being converted into movement.

Calm‑Water Speed Deviation

This measures the difference between expected speed in calm water and actual speed at a given power output—after correcting for weather and sea state. It highlights speed loss caused by hull or propeller condition rather than external forces.

Hull Fouling Index

A percentage‑based measure showing how much resistance has increased compared to the vessel’s ideal state. It quantifies how fouling on the hull impacts performance over time.

Propeller Efficiency Drop

This tracks the percentage loss in propeller efficiency compared to the vessel’s optimal condition. It helps identify when polishing or maintenance will deliver measurable improvements.

Excessive Fuel Consumption Ratio

A comparison between the vessel’s actual fuel use and the expected fuel use under equivalent conditions. It requires fuel‑flow data or energy‑equivalent inputs and highlights avoidable consumption.

Specific Fuel Oil Consumption Deviation

This indicator compares observed engine fuel consumption per unit of output to the vessel’s reference values. It identifies engine‑related inefficiencies that may require technical attention.

Technology & Modelling Approach

- How Navytech Insight Understands Real‑World Vessel Behaviour

Navytech Insight uses physics‑grounded models to interpret vessel performance in real conditions. By comparing calm‑water baselines with environmentally compensated actuals, the platform isolates the effects of resistance, propulsion, weather and operational patterns.

DATA-DRIVEN MODELING

Navytech Insight merges hydrodynamic models with statistical routines to calculate ideal vessel behaviour. It identifies deviations that arise from hull fouling, propeller condition, power variation or operational changes—and quantifies their commercial impact.

REAL-WORLD INPUTS

The platform works with Automatic Identification System (AIS) data and autolog or digital log sources or  noon reports or manual data. No additional onboard hardware is required, and default values can be applied where measurements are missing—with transparent flags for assumptions.

CONSISTENCY ACROSS THE FLEET

Each indicator is calculated using the same methodology across all vessels, enabling like‑for‑like comparisons and consistent decision‑making for technical, operational and commercial teams.
